Q: How much do you charge for cakes?

Our custom cakes start at $150. Cakes are priced per serving ($6 /serving) + additional customizations (i.e sugar flowers, edible images, custom toppers, etc). Please see our cake pricing page for details or request a quote for a more accurate pricing.

Do you deliver cakes?

Accepted Answer

Delivery and set up is available within 1 hour of the Nashville metropolitan area for additional fee starting at $50.00. AMB Cakes will ensure that the cake will be delivered and set up on time for your special event. You are responsible for providing (or making sure the venue provides) an appropriate environment and secure table for your custom order. We are not responsible for any damages that may occur to the cake after we have completed set up.
 
Orders that require delivery and cannot be delivered due to customer’s incorrect information or unavailability will be taken back to AMB Cakes and stored for up to 24 hours or until further notice from the client (whichever comes first). Should you require a redelivery of the cake, you will be held responsible for an additional delivery charge. Because of the nature of our business and our quality and freshness assurance, we will dispose of any cake or baked item that is not picked up or redelivered within 24 hours after the due time and you will NOT be refunded.

Can I pick up my cake instead of paying for delivery?

Yes, you can pick up your order. However, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of your cake once the cake leaves Annie Mae's Bakery, LLC.

Do you ship cakes?

Unfortunately, due to the delicate nature of cakes, we do not ship cakes.

I heard that fondant is gross. How does yours taste?

Our cakes are made with real ingredients and are delicious. As for the fondant, it has a marshmallow taste. And who doesn't like marshmallows, right? Check out our flavors page for our basic flavors.

What if I don't eat my cake the same day?

Accepted Answer

Because our cakes are made from real ingredients, we recommend that you eat your cake within 48 hours of receipt. We are not responsible for the lack of freshness due to improper storage and will not offer a refund for such occurrences. Cakes are best served at room temperature (68-72°F). They are best stored covered at room temperature and eaten as soon as possble for maximum freshness and best taste.

Do you offer gluten free cakes?

We do offer gluten free cakes. Additional fees may apply due to the additional cost of ingredients. Please note that we are not an allergy-free kitchen. While we do clean our equipment, our cakes are made with shared equipment/supplies that have come in contact with milk, wheat, nuts, tree nuts, soy, eggs, and other allergens. You agree and accept responsibility for notifying your guests of these risks and will not hold AMB Cakes liable, accountable, or responsible. Severe allergy cakes should be made in a specialty kitchen.

Most of the decorations that we offer are edible. However there are times when structure or decor choices will prevent edible decorations 100% of the time.

How much notice do you need for my order?

Accepted Answer

We would love as much lead time as possible, but orders can be placed up to 14 days prior to the event. We may be able to accomodate orders placed 14 days or less from the event date. However, payment in full is due at order placement in addition to a rush fee. See our Terms and Conditions for further details.

Do you have cakes on hand like a retail store?

We create our cakes for clients as orders are placed, so we do not have standing cakes available for pick up.

Is a deposit required for my order?

Accepted Answer

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to confirm your order. Any order inquiry without a retainer will be bumped if another order with a retainer is confirmed for the same date slot. If your order inquiry gets bumped before you are able to secure your retainer, we will do our best to accomodate your order.

When do I have to pay for my order?

The final balance is due 14 days before the event date. If your cake is ordered less than 14 days before the event date, the total amount is due immediately, and your order will not be confirmed until payment is received. The cake will not be made if final payment has not been received and your retainer will be forfeited. We are happy to accept advanced payments on the final contract price however, all monies must be received 14 days prior to the event or your cakes will not be made. All payments made will be non-refundable after the 14 day lock-out date unless special arrangements have been made before-hand.

If I have to cancel my order, what is your refund policy?"

Accepted Answer

All cake order changes must be handled in writing and confirmed directly with AMB Cakes. Cakes cancelled prior to the 14 day lockout date can be refunded up to 50% of balance paid minus the 50% retainer. Due to costs incurred in the purchase of materials, priority and preparation of the order, retainer funds are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Cakes cancelled after the 14 day lockout date are not eligible for refunds or transfers. In the event that something occurs to affect your scheduled event date – please contact us to discuss options. Communication is key, if you are up-front with any issues about your date we will work hard to accommodate you. We understand things can come up that are out of your control.
